On November 3 and 4, 2009, our participated in the First China Overseas Investment Fair hosted by China Industrial Overseas Development & Planning Association and China Development Bank in Beijing. Chinese and foreign governmental officials, international industrial and commercial leaders and well-known scholars attended this fair to give speeches and seminars. The Fair was a professional and interactive platform for overseas investment cooperation between China and foreign countries.
The main attendees including overseas economic international organizations, foreign investment promoting agencies, multinational enterprises, financial institutions, service agencies and associations. Serving as a legal bridge to facilitate transactions between China and the U.S., our law Firm met various delegates and exhibitors from governments and enterprises to discuss investment opportunities in China and the United States during the Fair. Hot topics included foreign direct investment in the United States, mergers and acquisitions, and immigration to the United States through investment (EB-5).
As one of the exhibitors at the U.S. Pavilion, we were also delighted to meet some honorable guests, including Mr. Huntsman, the U.S. Ambassador to China, and the former PRC Premier Mr. Zeng Yanpei.
