Pictured below is a sample China police certificate (无犯罪记录证明). A notary will prepare the certificate slightly differently, depending on its intended use.
A certificate for submission to U.S. immigration authorities will include the following 5 pages:
- a cover page;
- certificate of no criminal conviction (in Chinese);
- an English translation of the prior page;
- translator’s certification that the English translation conforms to the original (in Chinese); and
- an English translation of the prior page
A certificate for submission to Canadian immigration authorities will omit pages 4-5.
