AmCham China hosts a briefing, “Update on U.S. Visa Issues in China,” with immigration attorney Gary Chodorow and Scott Oudkirk, Deputy Consul General at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. It will take place Friday, June 15.
- Deputy Consul General Scott Oudkirk will speak on the visa policy changes that have taken place following President Obama’s January 2012 executive order. These changes have been instituted to “improve visa and foreign visitor processing and travel promotion in order to create jobs and spur economic growth in the United States, while continuing to protect our national security.”
- Visa Committee Co-Chair Gary Chodorow will present on B1 (visitor for business) visas to the U.S., discussing how to draw the line between permissible business activities and impermissible work.
